The User Centred Product/Workplace Design (UCPD) group at University of Skövde is part of Virtual Systems Research Centre which encompasses three research groups: Intelligent automation, User Centred Product Design, and Mechanics of materials. The common goal for the Virtual System Research Centre is to develop and use computer-based models with focus on the development of products, processes and systems. UCPD is a very diverse group led by Dr. Dan Högberg and focuses on the human side of manufacturing and product development. Our competences include physical and cognitive ergonomics, digital human modelling, product design, industrial design, lean product development etc.
